Why do we celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti?

Ambedkar Jayanti marks the birthday of Ambedkar. He was born on 14th April 1891 at Military Headquarter of War in Madhya Pradesh in India.

He framed the Indian constitution and, therefore, is called as Father of Indian Constitution. He was the foremost law minister of India. He devoted his entire life for the improvement of Dalits who were regarded as untouchables.

Each year it is celebrated on 14th April throughout India.

On this day several Dalits accomplish wide processions to commemorate this great person. Numerous cultural programs and rallies are organized by the organizations.
