Why do we celebrate Christmas Day?

Christmas Day is celebrated to remember the birthday of Jesus Christ. There is no exact date regarding when he was born. It is celebrated on 25th December annually by all Christians as well as by some non Christians all over the world.

On this day gifts are exchanged by many persons, they pay visit to church and enjoy the festive meal. They decorate their houses with mistletoe and holly. The day before the festival the Christmas tree is decorated with the help of toys, lights, bells and gifts. The children wait for the Christmas Day as they are given gifts by Santa Clause.
