Why do we celebrate Elephant Festival?
According to the Hindu Mythology when Gods and demons were engaged in stirring the ocean, Gods were lucky to receive an elephant named “Airavata”. The elephant later became the spiritual leader of Indra. Since then Elephant festivals are celebrated by Indian as well as by foreign tourists.
