Why do we celebrate Phulaich Fair?

The Phulaich Fair is related with those persons who have passed away. It is a flower festival called as Ookayang.

The Phulaich Fair or Fulaich Festival occurs on 6th September annually in the district Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh State in India.

The event is celebrated by locals by going on the top of the mountain to collect Ladra flowers. The relatives offer rice, food and wine to their dear deceased ones. These things are then distributed among the poor.
