The Detroit’s community-leaders wanted to give people a reason to go city center and make it a positive environment. So in 1980 they started the Detroit Jazz Fest.

The Detroit Festival of the Arts is held on the second weekend of June in Detroit, Michigan in the United States.

It is a three day art festival which exhibits Children activities, art showing, expensive food and musical performances. There is a giant sand sculpture fixture since 2004.
