Why do we celebrate Pattadakal Dance Festival?

The Pattadakal is a dance festival organized by The Government of Karnataka to celebrate the temples of Pattadakal. Pattadakal was the capital of Chalukyan Kings.

Pattadakal Dance Festival

It is celebrated in the month of January at Pattadakal, Karnataka in India. It is famous for several temples mostly dedicated to Lord Shiva. Professional dancers come from all over India to celebrate this festival which is also known as Chalukya Utsava. The other attraction of the festival is craft fair.
