Why do we celebrate Surajkund Crafts Mela?

The Surajkund Crafts fair was held in 1981 to promote the traditional Indian handicrafts in rural surroundings. The fair is organized annually from 1st to 15th February in Haryana in India. Surajkund fair is located at just 8 km from South Delhi.

The finest handicrafts and handloom crafts fair is organized by the Haryana Tourism Department. Various skilled and talented artists from all over India come here to display stonework, pottery, lac work, terracotta, wood stock, skilful paintings, textiles, ivory work and cane and grass work. Visitors can shop here for some of the world’s most treasured wares.
