Kalidas Festival is celebrated to commemorate the great poet of Sanskrit, Kalidas and his awesome work in the field of poetry. Some of his famous works are Meghdoot- the epic poem and Shakuntalam- the historical drama.

The festival is held in the month of November at Ramtek, Nagpur in Maharashtra in India. The festival celebrates the royal heritage of the town of Ramtek where renowned artists in the field of dance, music and drama perform.
